“Theatre is a celebration of the human voice, its power and beauty.”

Peter Brook

Mission

Findingmyvoice.org seeks to highlight the transformative power of theatre as a medium for self-empowerment and therapeutic release. It encapsulates a journey of introspection and personal growth through acting and its cathartic effects. The goal is to raise awareness of the benefits of theatre in maneuvering the challenges of adolescence as a unique medium for self-exploration.

Theatrical Performances

Alice in Alice in Wonderland

Eternally naive and innocent, Alice paradoxically seeks adventure at the same time as the comfort of home. Her escapades lead her to encounter many curious characters along her journey.

Dr. Creon in Agatha Rex

Dr. Creon rules Thebes High with an iron fist. She is an all work no play type of woman. Although rigid in her beliefs, she begins to question her dogma as her rules are challenged by her star student, Agatha.

Townsperson and Footman in the musical Cinderella

Chorus parts allow for involvement in the play while participating in the production aspect with moving sets/props and assisting main actors.

Belligerent Woman in Our Town

A minor role in the context of the play, this is a challenging role for a first time actress. Brief but powerful, the townswoman calls attention to “social injustice and industrial inequality.”
